"A wine of total finesse, the 2014 La Gaffelière is magnificent. Dark and supple on the palate, with striking nuances, it displays a captivating interplay of juicy Merlot fruit and lifted Cabernet Franc aromas. Silky tannins add to the exceptional texture and precision of the wine. [...] In a word: superb!"

"I love the precision and verve in this wine, with berries, sliced mushrooms, and floral characters. Full-bodied, yet so tight and refined. Lovely length and concentration. Drink now or cellar."

Decanter (Jane Anson) – 94/100

"At La Gaffelière, things are accelerating, with clear progress in terms of precision, balance, and power. The replanted Cabernet Franc is now entering its second decade, beginning to express undercurrents of black pepper spice, licorice, and soft floral aromas, adding acidity and strength without exaggeration. This is a great wine, with the generosity and impact of a Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé, slowly gaining complexity on the palate. It will continue to develop beautifully over the coming decades."
